Ghost of Tsushima Adaptation Moves Into a New Stage With the Completion of Its Script

Yet another video game awaits being adapted into a live-action movie. Ghost of Tsushima was announced to get its movie almost two years ago. But the SAG-AFTRA strikes had bogged down its development process since the movement spread its shadows over the gaming industry. However, director Chad Stahelski has revealed the upcoming movie’s script is finally complete, and further pieces are waiting to fall into their place.

John Wick director shed light on Ghost of Tsushima live-action

In a recent interview, Stahelski mentioned that the script is finally ready and the team is “very close to getting our s**t together”. Stahelski also mentioned that the Sucker Punch title is an IP that has intrigued him intensely and he can’t wait to start working on the movie.

Stahelski is known for his John Wick movies. The Hollywood director also is an avid fan of Asian culture and arts and sought to pay homage to one of the continent’s greatest filmmakers through his emphasis on Japanese sword-wielding techniques (kenjutsu). Stahelski’s inkling towards such details and his love for Akira Kurosawa makes him the perfect fit to direct the Ghost of Tsushima live-action movie.

With the strikes raging on, the fans wait for an official announcement to confirm the release date of Ghost of Tsushima.
