Deion Sanders’ newest recruit, tight end Zayne Desouza, is already making waves. The young athlete sat down with CU Buffs alum Matt McChesney for an interview on the Zero 2 Sixty podcast.
During the chat, Desouza talked about his visit to Colorado and meeting Coach Prime. He asked the head coach if he planned to stay with the Buffs. But Sanders threw a curveball. “The first question I asked him was, are you gona be here next year? And he was like are you gonna come and transfer,” Desouza said. Sanders then explained that he’s already achieved his goals in the NFL and is happy coaching. “I’ve already went to the NFL, I’ve done all that,” Sanders said. “I’m fine right now. I’ll retire right now as HC.” It’s clear that Deion Sanders is committed to Colorado, and it’s a message that’s resonating with recruits like Zayne Desouza.
