Kirby Smart’s Pumping Surprise for Georgia Alum Nic Fink’s Olympic Silver Win Accused of Being a ‘Set Up’

What a great day July 28 was for Georgia alum Nic Fink! The swimmer is on the Team USA roster for the 2024 Paris Olympics and won his first Olympic medal. And it took him some time to realize that medals are not the only thing that surprises. While Fink was still not over his accomplishment, another excellent news came from Athens. It was Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart who congratulated Fink on FaceTime. And it’s the HC’s bad luck that he is a magnet of controversy. Smart’s virtual victory cheer did not sit well with Brandon Adams, the host of the DawgNation Daily podcast, who called it a ‘set up.’ On the other hand, the Georgia HC is blamed for the Bulldogs’ cultural hiccups.
