A decisive out-of-bounds toe of Isaiah Likely brought back horrifying memories for Kevin Durant fans as the NFL season kicked off. During the end seconds of the first game between Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, Isaiah’s toe was a little out of line on a pass from Lamar Jackson that ultimately cost the Ravens the game. Surprisingly, a similar feat allegedly slammed the championship ambitions of Kevin Durant with the Brooklyn Nets superteam in 2021.
The Slim Reaper, as usual, took the responsibility to get past the Bucks’ trouble in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. He played almost all minutes, and when the game was on a close call during the last quarter, he went for a three-pointer. At this juncture, the Nets were down by two points, and they would have won the match. However, Durant’s toe was a little over the three point line that got his team only two points. Eventually, as we all know, the game went overtime, and the Bucks clinched the series and then the Championship. The Thursday night was kind of a reminder for the fans of that heartbreak.
