What is Lexi Thompson’s No. 1 priority after turning 30 next year? The golfer sure had announced her retirement from her professional career after the end of this year, so playing is out of the picture. Well, look no further, for the athlete had hinted how she would love to start a family when she said, “I’ll be 30 next year, so settle down, get married, have a family.” But, it appears she would still love to be a part of the game, that is… under one condition!
“I haven’t thought too much ahead,” said the golfer while alluding to her life post-retirement in an interview ahead of the upcoming Solheim Cup. But Thompson divulged how she would love to be a part of the Solheim Cup team in the future. “But of course, I’d love to be still a part of it in any way,” confessed the golfer before adding, “I know how special it’s meant to me and how many memories and relationships and friendships I’ve made throughout the Solheim Cup.”
‘How, then, will she be doing it?’ would be the next question that comes to our minds. The 29-year-old also had an answer to that. She then hinted at the captain and the assistant captain’s role while continuing with her reply. “Kind of learning off the assistants and Stacy of course,” revealed the 1-time major champ while highlighting how there’s a lot that goes into it. “So I’ll have to make sure I’m ready for that. I’m focusing on the golf part of it right now.”
