Al Horford’s Sister Left Heartbroken by Preferential Bronny James Treatment After Jaylen Brown’s Supposed Slander

Remember the time when Jaylen Brown almost invited trouble by allegedly admitting, “I don’t think Bronny is a pro,” during a Summer League game between the Lakers and the Celtics? The Celtics’ swingman was enjoying the game with his girlfriend, Kysre Gondrezick, and Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese when he mumbled those rumored words. And it took no time to hit the internet. Soon the X account, which specializes in lip-reading NBA videos, revealed Brown’s remark on Bronny James.

The situation cooled down after the NBA champion posted kind words about the young guard on his social media. However, that didn’t stop critics from continuing their verbal assault on Bronny. After Brown, his teammate Al Horford‘s sister, Anna Horford, joined the list of critics.

The remarks against Bronny intensified after his historic debut, which lasted less than three minutes against the Timberwolves, during which he failed to score a single point. Nevertheless, his first two points came on Wednesday night against the Cavaliers, in Daddy LeBron James‘ former home arena, and emotions reached their peak. As a tribute to Junior James, the net where he scored the bucket was given to him by the franchise. When Insider Danny Cunningham posted about it on X, Anna retweeted, expressing how it was unfair to the other players. “Bronny James playing with his dad is cool & all, but my heart breaks for the players who didn’t get drafted or who are stuck in the G-League knowing they’re legitimately stronger players than him,” she wrote.

Many have spoken out against the benefits that Bronny receives because of his superstar father, and Anna’s comment echoed those sentiments. She sympathized with players who possess more talent than the Lakers’ guard but either remain undrafted or are trying their luck in the G League. Anna would not need to feel the ache any longer as Bronny, too, could end up being sent to the LA franchise’s G League affiliate after a couple of games.

Bronny James’ NBA future heading to G League

Now that the Lakers have fulfilled LeBron James’ dream of playing with his son, they reportedly plan to utilize Bronny James on the NBA team and their G League affiliate. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the decision will be made following the team’s return home next week.

“I am told he will begin his shuttle from the NBA to the G League,” the Insider stated. However, the 20-year-old and his agent are expected to be fine with the decision. “For him and Rich Paul, the big aspect of Bronny James throughout the pre-draft process was his development, and he was not afraid,” Shams added.

Many analysts gave the same advice that Bronny should go to the South Bay Lakers and work on his skills. After proving himself in the G League, he would make a strong point for himself as a suitable candidate in the bigger pond.

However, the decision has not yet been made official. Bronny James is currently accompanying the squad on their on-road journey. The Lakers might allow him some more minutes on the hardwood tonight against the Raptors. Bronny’s move to the South Bay Lakers could peter out some of the noises surrounding him and that can only do a world of good for the up-and-coming guard.
