We never thought the slaps being heard across the world in organizations such as Nashe Delo, Punch Club, and Punch Down would engage in a cross-continental journey to the West. Yes, we’re talking about Dana White’s Power Slap league – the same venture that continues to draw the ire of the fight community for its promise of guaranteeing long-term head trauma. But does that bother Dana White? Absolutely not, because as per his predictions, he’s making quite a bit of money from slap-fighting. Despite all the criticism, White has remained steadfast in his belief that Power Slap can thrive.
The league has gained traction through social media, drawing millions of views on platforms like TikTok and YouTube. Its partnership with Rumble, a video-sharing platform, has also helped expand its reach. However, Power Slap has struggled to achieve the mainstream legitimacy that White envisioned, facing resistance from medical professionals and combat sports purists alike. It now seems that the unusual sport has an exciting 2025 ahead of it. White recently organized the first-ever Power Slap event in Saudi Arabia and it seems he has impressed one and all including Turki Alalshikh.
It seems Power Slap will be returning to Saudi Arabia four times this year after its massive success. Jed I. Goodman took to his X account to share the news with the fans. White said in the video, “We just did one in Saudi Arabia. It was our first one there. The next day when I went to meet Sheikh Turki he was going crazy over it. It Killed it. It did 4.2 million viewers it was the biggest. First of all this thing’s a juggernaut on social media. It was the biggest one we’ve ever done on social media and he just signed up for five more. He ordered five more events in Saudi four this year and one in America. ”

While the event gathered 4.2 million viewers it was special for one more reason. In a high-stakes rematch, Layne “Da Crazy Hawaiian” Viernes went head-to-head with Vasiliy “The Dumpling” Kamotsky. In a shocking upset, Kamotsky dethroned the reigning champion to claim the title. However, at one point in his career, he made a rather bizarre request to Dana White and the Power Slap organization. But what did he ask for? Let us find out about it below.
Dana White relives the incident where Kamotsky asked for something unusual
Dana White recounted this unexpected story during a YouTube conversation with Tucker Carlson, revealing how he first crossed paths with Siberian slap-fighting star Vasiliy ‘The Dumpling’ Kamotsky, now the reigning heavyweight Power Slap champion. Their meeting played a crucial role in the birth of the Power Slap organization in 2022. White shared that when ‘The Dumpling’ was initially paid, he didn’t just request $25,000—he also asked for three goats.
While speaking to Carlson he said, “What’s crazy is, two nights ago, we did the event here, and the guy who won the world title was the guy who got me into it when I started watching this stuff a few years ago. This guy named Dumpling, out of Siberia, Russia. Okay, best, I’m not kidding you. I’m not kidding you. When we first paid him, I think he wanted $25,000 and three goats.”
While Power Slap may not have the strongest reputation, it has gained significant traction in Russian combat circles. It was through these connections that Dana White first came across Vasiliy Kamotsky, ultimately bringing him into the Power Slap arena where he is now the champion.
