Is Shaquille O’Neal‘s new business partner also on the roster? The most anticipated tournament of the year is here, and the roster is replete with elite talents. Carmelo Anthony’s son is one name that has created a lot of buzz among fans. While the number 1 player in the 2025 class will be absent, one striking name is also involved with O’Neal. No, it’s not his son.
It’s Elie Elis! The player recently sparked chatter with his declaration to buy TikTok. At that, he also claimed that he would team up with the Lakers legend for the job. This came after TikTok temporarily shut down its services. As per the law signed by President Joe Biden, the app will face a ban unless some American owners buy them off.
While President-elect Donald Trump ordered to delay the ban for an investigation, and the Iverson Classic’s tournament, Elis’ plans had also been put on pause. It’s unknown whether the two have any plans on the cards, but fans spotted them together at Overtime Elite. The two had an engaging conversation.

When the OTE IG post asked, “What y’all think they talking about? (Wrong answers only) @eliellis @shaq @nationalguard,” Elis even joked, “He asked if I heard that new Gelo.”
While we wait for further updates on TikTok, we could see Elis playing at the 2025 Iverson Classic All-American Game in Hampton Coliseum on May 3rd, 2025. Iverson’s alma mater, Bethel High School, will also host the 24K Showcase and the Iverson Games on May 1st.
Kiyan Anthony will join the 2025 Iverson Classic All-American Game
The OTE League’s Season MVP averaged 33.4 points across 16 games in the league last year. Darryn Peterson, Nate Ament, and Kiyan will join hands. Earlier, the official page of the Iverson Classic’s Instagram page announced Kiyan’s participation in the tournament. The 17-year-old has recently recovered from his injury.
“And the final official selection for the 2025 Iverson Classic All-American roster is Kiyan Anthony See who made the cut for the most competitive game of the year
,” the IG post read. Kiyan was snubbed from the roster of the McDonald’s All-American. Many approved the roster. While many highlighted his absence, others felt it was understandable, considering Kiyan’s absence from a month of games because of his injury.
AJ Dybantsa, who couldn’t participate in the Iverson Classic, will join Alijah Arenas and Tounde Yessoufou to represent the West, while Carlos Boozer’s twins will represent the East. Equally interesting is the lineup at the Iverson Classic. It seems the Los Angeles Lakers legend would have to wait!
